Hello lovely beings
Now that the season has ended for the year for one of my jobs, I have a wee bit of time to spend focusing on myself before heading back into full time at my other job. With that comes the need to ensure I have enough "treat yoself"-ness in the tank, so that when I go back to having less time for myself it doesn't hit as hard. One of those treat yoself moments led me to trying out Genki Noodles & Sushi for the first time.
The Order
Chicken Bowl Katsu fried chicken, served with sautéed broccoli, carrots, zucchini, squash, spinach, and cabbage. On a bed of Yaki glass noodles. [customizable]
✨Island Roll✨ Shrimp tempura and mango topped with real snow crap salad and a sweet and spicy chili sauce.
Drunken Eel Roll Grilled freshwater eel, avocado, cucumber, kani kama and shrimp, topped with sweet soy sauce.
The chicken bowl, and drunken eel rolls were my safe choices. Much to my surprise, the Island Roll was the most delicious piece of this order, and now my new favorite roll. I assumed the mango would throw me off a little bit, but it only added to the deliciousness of the tempura shrimp and chili sauce. As for the chicken bowl, delicious but I'd probably go with a broth base as it was a little dry with the choices I made 😅.
Would recommend, would eat again!
