Things from Another World [Review+Haul]

Hello lovely beings

Hyperfixation happens when you're completely engrossed by something, to the point where it becomes all-consuming and disrupts your day-to-day functioning.

Here I am, with another comic order review...already 😅. This time from a delightful little site called Things from Another World. I really have no true memory of how I've found majority of these online sites but I cannot complain. Comics, manga, graphic novels, toys, and collectibles? Let's just say, it's a hard site to solely window shop on.

order placed: October 21 - order received: October 29

TFAW had a surprisingly stacked database, with more than enough spooky comics to pick from...which is what I was on the hunt for. I'm not sure if it's an ongoing thing, but the times I've visited the site all of the comics have been discounted from their original listing price. The shipping wasn't too bad stacked on top of the discounted comics, and they also offer an option to have all of your books bagged and boarded for a minor fee. I ended up with 12 different comics, with a bag and board fee totaling to $3.60 [30cents each]. With shipping and tax added in, my total came to $46.66. Which makes each comic almost the price I'd pay if I were going to the local shops [and maybe without bags and boards].

She's here 🤩

Another thoughtfully packaged order. Layers of protection to ensure no bending during transit! There was even paper stuck to part of the cardboard to ensure the extra tape wouldn't stick to the goodies I ordered.

✨ The Spoils ✨

A handful of things aren't for me...okay three of the comics aren't for me 😂, but the rest are pretty much all things I'm excited to start [eventually] reading. There's also an issue five of Refrigerator Full of Heads. I think that will be the first comic series that I successfully finish, once I can get my hands on #6 ✨ I'll also honestly admit that I bought that Wonder Woman 1984 for the absolutely dope cover.

Ending thoughts on shopping with Things from Another World? Having to pay shipping is a downer, but the shipping took about a week to get to me. The fact that just about every comic was cheaper than list price helped make purchasing a good bit quite easy. I also really like that they offer the bags and boards for an additional fee. Sometimes they're included, but you can't always hope. I also love how many horror titles are easily found in their database. All in all, they get to stay in my roster!

✨ Thank you for reading ✨
