✨ Hello lovely beings ✨
Here's everything I read in January!
I'm sad I may not be able to finish 😅. I neglected to order any other copies after stumbling on a shop that had one by chance. I tried to order through the shop again, when I was doing a weekly visit.... and they said they weren't available for order anymore 😅😅😅
There are a couple websites that have some of the other issues, and it looks like I still ordered an issue 5, so maybe I'll try to continue once I have enough I need to order...to get free shipping lol!
The artwork has that spooky-messy feel, which isn't that bad. Why I'm giving up on this one is due to the storyline not being one that would keep my attention. Psychological thriller, and the main has lost his loves and is contemplating the rest of "life". It's a common trope, and I think it better I give up on it now then possibly be disappointed by future issues. It's a short one, with only 5 issues total...but I think I should still leave it be, lol!
Mainly titles that I didn't feel like ordering the next issue of in time. If I end up stumbling upon them during a comic-shop-visit, I'll scoop it up to continue reading. They aren't my tippy-top priorities to finish right now.
The ending of The Madness almost had a chica in full tears. I think they did a fantastic job pulling the end together the way they did! I already knew I loved Mirka Andolfo's works, but finishing up Sweet Paprika solidified it! It was oh so adorably spicy! I love me a good "monster girl" protagonist! Rumpus room, though had spooky tendencies, felt extremely rushed once I got to the final issue.
So many titles to look forward to reading in February! We get to see how Detective Silk is handling PH34R, investigate "senseless" murder with Sam, and even finding out what this "mountain guardian" has to do with Zawa and the town. I'm hoping to catch up on Blue Box and DanDaDan, as well as start some of the comic titles I've picked up and never opened! Let's see if we can beat Jan's reading total 😏.
✨ Thank you for reading ✨
